John Devney

John Devney currently serves as Delta’s Senior Vice President of Policy where he works on the important connections between federal legislative and administrative policy and the impact they have for ducks, duck hunters and habitat. Based in Bismarck, North Dakota, in the heart of the Prairie Pothole Region, has provided Devney with an incredible opportunity to learn a great deal about breeding duck ecology amidst some of the greatest minds in waterfowl science.

Devney has been with Delta since 1998 but his connections to waterfowl hunting go back to days in the blind with his dad as early as 4 years old. Devney is married with three children and when not thinking about or chasing ducks is training his lab Taig and competing in hunt tests.
