Madison Sheahan
State of Louisiana
Prior to serving the State of Louisiana alongside Governor Jeff Landry, Madison worked for South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem in various leadership positions. While working in her official capacity, she focused on various legislation relating to wildlife, agriculture, and the state's natural resources. She also played a major role in passing one of the strongest bills in the nation protecting women’s sports.
Madison is actively involved with varsity rowing at her alma mater, The Ohio State University. She led her team to multiple Big Ten championships and other conference accolades as a member of team leadership. Madison also served as an Ohio FFA state officer. In this role, she focused on career success and leadership development for agriculture education students across Ohio.
Madison has a bachelor’s degree in public affairs, public management, leadership, and policy and agri-business from The Ohio State University. She also minored in community and business leadership.
Madison grew up on Lake Erie and worked on her family’s farm in Northwest Ohio, where her family ran a group of small businesses. She is an avid hunter and sportsman, enjoying time in the field with her older brother, who is a dedicated conservationist. Above all else, Madison values her family, who taught her the importance of hard work, determination, and leading with grace.
